Knewspaper Editorial Team

The Knewspaper Editorial Team researches, writes, edits and updates the articles published under this byline. This page explains what we cover, how we check facts and how to reach us about a mistake.

What we cover

Knewspaper publishes plain-language explainers for readers in India: exams and careers, money and investing basics, housing and rent in Indian cities, technology, health and fitness, sports, entertainment, anime and gaming, history and culture. Our aim is to answer the question a reader actually searched for, early in the article, and then give the context they need.

How we research and check articles

  • Facts, figures and dates come from primary sources wherever possible: government and regulator websites (such as RBI, SEBI, NTA, CBSE and the Income Tax Department), official bodies and leagues, and companies' own announcements. Where we rely on reporting or listings, we say so.
  • Numbers that change, such as prices, rents, fees, cut-offs and tax rules, are given as ranges with the period they apply to. If we cannot confirm a number, we leave it out rather than guess.
  • Health articles follow mainstream medical guidance (for example WHO, ICMR and major hospitals) and are general information, not medical advice. Finance articles explain how things work and are not investment advice.
  • Reviews and comparisons are based on published specifications, official information and widely reported facts. We do not claim to have tested products we have not tested.

Keeping articles up to date

We review older articles regularly, starting with the ones readers use most. When an article is revised, the date it was last updated is shown at the top. Articles about events that have passed are rewritten to say what actually happened rather than left as predictions.

Guest and sponsored posts

Some articles are written by outside contributors through our Write for us programme. They are published under the writer's own name, not this byline. Paid guest posts are labelled "Sponsored guest post", and links to other websites in them are marked as sponsored. The editorial team does not endorse products or services mentioned in sponsored posts.

Corrections and contact

If you spot a mistake or something out of date, email knewspaper.in@gmail.com with the article link and what needs fixing. We check every report and correct the article when it is wrong. You can also use our contact page.
