Gojo vs Kakashi: Who Would Win, and Can Kakashi Beat Gojo?
Gojo vs Kakashi, who would win? A fair, version-by-version power comparison: Infinity vs Kamui, Six Eyes vs Sharingan, Domain Expansion, healing and tactics, with a clear verdict on who is stronger and how Kakashi could pull off an upset.

Kakashi Hatake and Satoru Gojo are two of the most loved teachers in anime. Both have white hair, a covered eye, a lazy attitude and a habit of making the impossible look easy. So it is no surprise that "Gojo vs Kakashi, who would win?" is one of the most argued match-ups online.
Quick answer: Gojo would win in most versions of this fight. His Infinity stops attacks before they touch him, his Domain Expansion has no counter in Kakashi's toolkit, and Reverse Cursed Technique lets him heal wounds that would kill Kakashi. Kakashi's best chance is his Mangekyo Sharingan at its peak, because Kamui (a space-time technique) and eye-contact genjutsu are the two things Gojo has never faced. That makes it closer than the "Gojo stomps" crowd claims, but still a clear edge to Gojo.
Which Kakashi and which Gojo?
Power debates fall apart when people compare different versions. Here are the versions that matter:
Version | What they can do |
Part 1 Kakashi | One Sharingan, Chidori, copied jutsu, ninken summons |
War Arc Kakashi | Mangekyo Sharingan with long-range Kamui, Chidori, Lightning Blade |
Kaguya fight Kakashi | Both of Obito's Mangekyo eyes for a short time, Perfect Susanoo, long- and short-range Kamui |
Hokage-era Kakashi | No Sharingan, Purple Lightning, huge experience |
Gojo before awakening | Six Eyes and Infinity, but lost to Toji Fushiguro |
Gojo after awakening | Reverse Cursed Technique, Hollow Purple, Infinite Void, Infinity always on |
The fairest fight is War Arc Kakashi vs post-awakening Gojo. That is each man at his normal, sustainable best. We look at Kakashi's temporary Perfect Susanoo version separately.

Kakashi's strengths

Kamui. Kakashi can warp a target, or part of it, into another dimension just by focusing on it from a distance. He used it to tear off Deidara's arm and, during Pain's assault on the Leaf, to warp away a missile aimed at his allies. It is one of the most dangerous techniques in Naruto because it does not need to touch you.
The Sharingan. It reads movement before it happens, copies most ninjutsu it sees, and casts genjutsu through eye contact.
Tactics and experience. Kakashi has fought since childhood. He wins by reading opponents, setting traps and using shadow clones and ninken to create openings. Few characters in anime think faster in a fight.
Lightning Release. Chidori, Lightning Blade and later Purple Lightning give him fast, piercing attacks.
Gojo's strengths
Six Eyes. Gojo sees cursed energy in extreme detail and uses his technique with almost zero waste, so he barely tires.
Infinity. An automatic barrier of "infinite" space between Gojo and anything coming at him. Attacks slow down and never arrive. In Jujutsu Kaisen it is usually beaten only by special techniques or a Domain.
Blue, Red and Hollow Purple. Pulling force, pushing force and a combined blast that erases everything in its path.
Infinite Void. Gojo's Domain Expansion floods the target's mind with endless information. In Shibuya, a 0.2-second version froze a crowd of people at once.
Reverse Cursed Technique. Gojo heals serious injuries almost instantly and keeps Infinity running non-stop.
Kakashi vs Gojo: head to head
Category | Kakashi (War Arc) | Gojo (post-awakening) | Edge |
Defence | Sharingan prediction, earth walls, Kamui to warp attacks away | Infinity, always on | Gojo |
Offence | Kamui, Chidori, Lightning Blade | Blue, Red, Hollow Purple | Gojo |
Speed | Very fast, Sharingan reads moves | Faster, can teleport using Blue | Gojo |
Healing | None beyond medical ninja help | Reverse Cursed Technique | Gojo |
Battle IQ | Elite strategist | Elite, but sometimes overconfident | Kakashi |
Wildcard | Kamui and genjutsu | Infinite Void | Even |
Stamina | Mangekyo strains his chakra fast | Six Eyes makes him very efficient | Gojo |
Can Kakashi beat Gojo? Where the fight is closest
A fair comparison has to admit what Gojo has never faced.
Kamui vs Infinity. Infinity stops things that move toward Gojo. Kamui does not travel toward the target; it twists space where the target already stands. Jujutsu Kaisen never shows Infinity against this kind of ability, so nobody can say for sure that Infinity blocks it. This is Kakashi's real win condition. The counter-argument: long-range Kamui takes a few seconds of focus, Six Eyes would likely sense the build-up, and Gojo can move or teleport before the warp finishes.
Genjutsu. Sharingan genjutsu works through eye contact, not touch, so Infinity does not obviously help. Gojo usually wears a blindfold or dark glasses, but he takes them off when he gets serious. A well-timed genjutsu is the second way Kakashi could steal a win. Six Eyes reading energy flow could expose it, but again, the source material never tests this.
Copying. Kakashi cannot simply copy Gojo. Cursed techniques are innate and tied to the user's body, and Limitless depends on Six Eyes to work properly. The Sharingan can still help Kakashi read Gojo's movements.
Where Gojo pulls ahead
Domain Expansion decides it. In Jujutsu Kaisen, the main defences against a Domain are a Domain of your own or special barrier techniques. Kakashi has neither. Once Infinite Void lands, Kakashi is frozen, and Gojo can finish him. Kamui does not help here, because the Domain is a sure-hit attack on the mind, not a punch to dodge or warp away.
Healing and stamina. Kakashi has one or two big shots of Kamui before his chakra runs low. Gojo can take a hit, heal it with Reverse Cursed Technique and keep going.
Raw destruction. Hollow Purple wipes out everything in its path. Kakashi's strongest moves are precise rather than wide, so he must win early or not at all.

What about Perfect Susanoo Kakashi?
During the fight with Kaguya, Obito's spirit lent Kakashi both Mangekyo Sharingan for a short time. That Kakashi had Perfect Susanoo and Kamui-powered attacks, and he is far stronger than any other version. This Kakashi could trade blows with Gojo much more evenly. But it lasted only minutes, and it still lacks an answer to Infinite Void. It narrows the gap; it does not flip the result.
Verdict: Gojo vs Kakashi, who would win?
Gojo wins most fights. Infinity cancels most of Kakashi's attacks, Infinite Void has no counter, and Reverse Cursed Technique means Kakashi needs a one-shot finish. Kakashi wins a few: if he opens with long-range Kamui or genjutsu before Gojo takes him seriously, he could end it in seconds. That is a real path, not fan wishful thinking, but it depends on Gojo making a mistake.
Score it roughly as Gojo 7 or 8 times out of 10, with Kakashi's wins coming from surprise and intelligence. Gojo is the stronger fighter; Kakashi is the smarter one, and in this match-up strength usually wins.

FAQs
Gojo vs Kakashi, who would win?
Gojo would win most of the time. His Infinity, Domain Expansion and healing give him too many advantages, though Kakashi's Kamui and genjutsu give him a real chance if he strikes first.
Who is stronger, Gojo or Kakashi?
Gojo is stronger in raw power, defence, speed and stamina. Kakashi is arguably the better tactician, but that is not enough to close the gap.
Can Kakashi beat Gojo?
Yes, but only in specific situations, such as landing long-range Kamui or a genjutsu before Gojo gets serious. In a straight, prepared fight, Gojo is the favourite.
Can Kamui get past Gojo's Infinity?
Nobody knows for sure. Kamui warps space at the target instead of travelling toward it, so Infinity may not stop it. The two series never test this, which is why it is Kakashi's best argument.
Who is more powerful, Gojo or Kakashi, at their peak?
Gojo after his awakening is more powerful than even Perfect Susanoo Kakashi, mainly because Kakashi has no answer to Infinite Void.
